Every year, there is great debate among Packers fans over which undrafted free agent the team signed will end up on the roster. It’s understandable. There have been several undrafted free agents that have made incredible impacts on the franchise, most notably Hall of Famer Willie Wood.

Another great undrafted free agent find was Tramon Williams, whom the Packers signed in November of 2006. Williams was quite a find, as he ended his career in Green Bay with 30 interceptions, tied for the seventh most in franchise history.

Before coming to Green Bay, Williams was signed by the Houston Texans following the 2006 NFL Draft. However, he did not last long and was released on September 5 of that year.

After spending half of the 2006 season on the Packers’ practice squad, Williams made the 53-man roster in 2007. By 2008, Williams was starting at cornerback for Green Bay, and in 2010 he was selected to the Pro Bowl.

Following the 2014 season, Williams spent three seasons with the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals. Then in 2018, he re-signed with Green Bay for two more seasons.

Even though Williams played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2020, he was released after the season and signed by the Packers for their Playoff run. It was fitting. 2020 was Williams’ last NFL season and he got to end it with Green Bay.
