Green Bay Packers Greatest Players #95- Mason Crosby
Coming in ranked 95th in AV in Packers’ franchise history is their all-time leading scorer, Mason Crosby. He was drafted by Green Bay in the sixth round (193rd overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. While he had some down years throughout his 16 seasons with the Packers, he was an overall steady kicker who got the job done.
In his rookie season, he led the entire NFL with 39 field goal attempts, making 31 of them. The next season, he led the NFL in both extra point attempts and extra points made (he was 46/46). Of course, he was also the team’s kicker when they won Super Bowl XLV.
He led the NFL in extra points made and attempted two more times after 2008. In 2011, he was 68/69 and in 2020 he was 59/63. Crosby also led the NFL in field goal percentage in 2020, going a perfect 16/16.
Crosby ends his time in Green Bay with an 81.4% field goal percentage (395/485) and 97.3% extra point percentage (733/753). His 258 games played is also the most in franchise history, a record he set this year when he surpassed Brett Favre’s 255.
