Officially, Giannis Antetokounmpo is still considered doubtful to play on Friday as the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 of their first-round series. The former back-to-back MVP has not figured in this series thus far, which is currently tied at 1-1 after Indiana’s upset win at the Fiserv Forum on Tuesday night.
Both Giannis and the Bucks are doing everything they can to get their talisman back on the floor, and it appears that Antetokounmpo is making steady progress on his road to recovery.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Doc Rivers Update on Giannis Antetokounmpo

According to Milwaukee shot-caller Doc Rivers, Giannis “did a lot of floor stuff today, probably the most I’ve seen.” The former NBA champion coach made this revelation after Thursday’s team practice.
While this is an undeniable step in the right direction for the eight-time All-Star, Rivers himself does not sound very confident about Anteotkounmpo getting back on the floor for Game 3:
“He’s getting close,” Rivers said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “But, I don’t know what that even means. I’m being honest. I saw him moving around and in my mind I said he’s getting close. Does that mean a day, four days? I’m not sure.”

Right now, the Bucks have no other choice but to hope and pray that Giannis is able to recover as soon as humanly possible. They need their superstar back in the mix immediately as they face the distinct possibility of another heartbreaking first-round exit.
