Green Bay Packers Greatest Player #71- Nick Collins
There is little question that the best player to wear #36 for the Packers is Hall of Famer LeRoy Butler. If not for a career-ending neck injury, though, Nick Collins may have made a run for that title.
A second round pick (51st overall selection) by the Packers in 2005, Collins was named Second Team All Pro three times and was a three time Pro Bowl selection. Each of these achievements came between 2008-2010.
In 2008, Collins had a career-high seven interceptions. He returned these for a NFL-leading 295 yards and three touchdowns. Of course, his most famous pick-six occurred in the first quarter of the Packers Super Bowl XLV win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Overall, Collins had 21 interceptions in his short NFL career and finished with an AV of 53. There is little doubt that, had he not gotten hurt, he would be much higher on this list and, possibly, in the Hall of Fame himself.
