Coming off a dominant performance against North Carolina, 9th seeded Wisconsin squares off against 1 seed Baylor. Brad Davison led the Badgers to an 85-62 victory Friday evening. Davison finished with 29 points and went 10-15 from the field. The senior guard also knocked down five three-pointers as well. Along with Davison, D’Mitrik Trice also played an excellent game. After defeating the Cornhuskers Wednesday evening, the Badgers are set to square off with Penn State for the third time this season. Wisconsin lost five of their last six games falling to Iowa Sunday 77-73. Although the Badgers made a second-half charge, it wasn’t enough to secure the victory in Iowa City. After taking a leave from the program, 2020 commit Lorne Bowman Jr. may be taking steps toward his return. After a strong showing against Northwestern, Wisconsin looks to avenge their previous loss against Illinois Saturday afternoon. The Badger’s were defeated 75-60 and struggled offensively in the first half. Wisconsin made a late push in the second half to get within seven points of the lead but was unable to complete the comeback in Champaign. This week the 21st ranked Badgers blew out the Wildcats Sunday evening, defeating Northwestern 68-51 at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Senior forward Micah Potter led Wisconsin with 19 points and eight rebounds. After leading by 12 points at halftime, the #21 ranked Badgers crumbled down the stretch against #3 ranked Michigan. The Wolverines outscored Wisconsin 40-20 in the second half and were defeated 67-59 Sunday afternoon at the Kohl Center. D’Mitrik Trice led the Badgers with 16 points and five rebounds. Although the offense continues to stall, the defense helped carry Wisconsin in their victory Wednesday evening against Nebraska. After losing to Penn State for the first time since 2011, Wisconsin came out swinging and knocked out the Nittany Lions Tuesday evening. The 19th ranked Badgers defeated Penn State 72-56 at the Kohl Center, holding the Nittany Lions to 38.6% shooting overall Wisconsin was lead by freshman guard Jonathan Davis with 17 points, going 4-4 from three-point range.
