The Milwaukee Bucks limited Indiana Pacers Pascal Siakam to only 12 points in Game 5 and it is one of the reasons why the Bucks won 115-92 in Game 5. Indiana still leads this series 3-2 over Milwaukee.
Game 6 of this series between the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks will be on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. CT. In Game 6, the Bucks may be getting back Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard back from injury but it remains to be seen.
Even if they were to come back, the Bucks still have to play solid defense. One of the players they are going to have to slow down for the rest of the series is Pascal Siakam. Siakam in Game 5 also only grabbed four rebounds and recorded two assists.
Through the first four games of the series, he has scored over 30 points twice and has grabbed nine or more rebounds four times. In Game 3, he did score 17 points against the Bucks and has had his fingerprints also on the defensive end of the floor for the Pacers. This is not the first time he has dealt with NBA playoffs action.
Pascal Siakam On the Indiana Pacers Showing His Playoff Experience In This Series Against the Milwaukee Bucks
This is not the first playoff series that Siakam has played well in. He was a factor for the Toronto Raptors back in 2019 when they won their lone NBA Championship in franchise history against the Golden State Warriors in six games.
Pascal Siakam also led Toronto to the playoffs the year after Kawhi Leonard left in 2019-2020 as the number two seed in the Eastern Conference before losing to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. That was the year when the bubble playoffs happened.
If Siakam does explode for another 30-point performance in this series, it will be hard for the Milwaukee Bucks to potentially overcome it. That means that the Pacers are scoring the basketball and they are one of the best offensive teams in the NBA for a reason and it all starts with the playmaking by Tyrese Haliburton.
Milwaukee will need to limit his damage on offense and defense two more times if they want to come back 3-1. He has been one of the top two players in this series for the Indiana Pacers.
