The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have the oldest rivalry in NFL history. However, the “rivalry” has been a tad one-sided lately. Between April 24, 2014, and April 24, 2024, the Bears are 2-18 versus the Packers.
Overall the Packers have a 107-95-6 record against the rival to the south. It has gotten to the point where even Bears players are sick of losing to the Packers. When one of those players said it would be different in 2024, a Packers veteran put him in his place.
Green Bay Packers’ Veteran Preston Smith Claps Back At Chicago Bears Star
The rivalry has already gotten to Chicago Bears defensive end Montez Sweat.
Only half a season has passed since he’s been part of the NFC North rivalry, and he’s already sick of not being on the winning side.
“I’m not losing to Green Bay this year, I can’t do it. I can’t do it, man,” Sweat, 27, said on the Green Light podcast with former NFL player Chris Long earlier this month. “Not losing to Green Bay this year, man.”

Preston Smith Has Never Lost To The Bears
Smith joined the Packers in 2019. Since then the Packers have never lost to the Bears. In fact, Smith is 10-0 against Chicago since joining Green Bay.
The Windy City is full of optimism. It is expected that the Chicago Bears will select Caleb Williams of USC with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft on Thursday. In addition, plans for a new lakefront dome stadium were unveiled on Wednesday.
There have been previous attempts by the Bears to turn the tide on the Packers with high draft picks without much success.
After trading away Justin Fields and having two picks in the top ten, Bears fans are hoping this is the year the team starts to be competitive again. The last season the Bears had a winning record was in 2018.
