The Green Bay Packers made the extremely tough decision to move on from star LT David Bakhtiari. While he has been a pillar of the Packers’ offensive line for the better part of the last decade, the recent injuries coupled with his 2024 cap hit, was just too much for the Packers.
The All-Pro left tackle has made it clear on more than one occasion that he isn’t done playing in the NFL just yet. The 32-year-old (33 by the start of next year) is determined to prove that he can still be one of the best left tackles in the NFL.
However, right now it is his political opinion that is getting the fans’ attention.

When questioned why he had this take by one fan, Bakhtiari responded accordingly:
I want a flat tax rate for everyone citizen. And no loopholes. Simple and effective.

One of the only things more polarizing in the United States than sports, is politics. Bakhtiari seems to be in the thick of both of those topics at the moment.
Bakhtiari Is Still Looking For A New Team In 2024
Week One of the 2023 season saw Bakhtiari still perform at an extremely high level. He is hoping to get one more shot in the league.
He has recently been linked to a Super Bowl contender, however, there hasn’t been any reported movement with that quite yet.
No matter your opinion of Bakhtiari on or off the field, he is likely able to contribute at a high level for a team who is willing to give him a shot. Look for a contender in a “win now” mode to give him that opportunity.
