The Green Bay Packers have left the door open for a potential return from a newly released offense player with a rich history.
Running back Aaron Jones was just released less than an hour ago by the Green Bay Packers after a huge free agent deal was agreed upon with Josh Jacobs. While Jones was released, the Packers have not ruled out a potential return if both sides can agree upon a deal in the future. However, there are reports that Jones has plenty of teams interested, which could put an end to the reunion ideas.
Green Bay Packers Could Bring Back Aaron Jones Given the Right Circumstances, Deal
Despite just being released by the Green Bay Packers, one report indicates that Aaron Jones might not be going anywhere after all. According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, this could be a situation where the Packers have released Jones in order to allow him to see his market value. The Packers could have another offer in place for Jones already, but the running back is likely trying to see what else he could make in the market.
This is the scenario where Jones tests the market and see if he can find something better than what the #Packers are offering. If he can’t, there’s a chance he would come back. How the Jacobs signing affects his point of view could determine if he would even consider a return. https://t.co/ryg3e8d7iD

Jones was released shortly after the announcement that Josh Jacobs had agreed to the terms of a deal with the Green Bay Packers. Jacobs was one of the top free agent targets for the Packers, and they have gotten their man. If Jones is unable to come to a deal with another team, then the running back could make a quick return to the Packers in the near future.
Would the Green Bay Packers Football Staff Return Jones to the Team, or is His Time as a Packer Over?
In this current situation, it seems as though the Green Bay Packers are still very much open to a Jones return. However, other reports indicate that Jones already has plenty of teams interested in offering him a contract, which would mean Jones has played his final game as a Packer.
Jones could get a deal from a running back-needy team like the Dallas Cowboys or the Carolina Panthers who can use a change-of-pace running back. Jones can still provide plenty to a franchise, when he is healthy, which could make him a valuable signing depending on what franchise ends up with his talents.
Despite the Release, Jones Will Always Remain a Fan Favorite of the Packers
Whether Jones and the Packers reunite is something that remains to be seen, and even if it does not happen this off-season, it could in the future. Regardless, Jones more than likely played his final down as a Packer already and has carved out his own piece of Packers’ history. The running back was always electrifying on the gridiron, and held a place in the hearts of the fans.
