The Green Bay Packers brought in 26-year-old Josh Jacobs this off-season. It was a move that left many Packers fans with mixed emotions. Obviously, bringing in the NFL’s 2022 rushing leader (1,653 yards) had fans extremely excited about what the future of this team is going to look like. However, moving on from Aaron Jones at the same time was rough, to say the least.
Upon his arrival, Jacobs made a few comments about why he chose Green Bay. Now one of those comments is going viral.
Green Bay Packers’ New Running Back Josh Jacobs Makes Comment About Jordan Love

According to Freddie Boston of FanSided:
Love will soon become one of the league’s highest-paid quarterbacks, and his impressive debut season as the Packers’ starter hasn’t gone unnoticed around the league. It’s already having an impact in free agency.
In an interview with Larry McCarren for the team website, Jacobs revealed what he said to Love after signing with the Packers.
“I told him, man, you’re a big reason why I wanted to come here,” said Jacobs. “I think he’s going to be the next superstar in this league. The guy’s special. He’s young, and he’s only going to get better.”
He’s not wrong. Love faced adversity early in the season but reached an MVP level during the Packers’ final 10 games (including playoffs), in which they won seven. Love threw 18 touchdown passes with only one interception in a 6-2 stretch to close out the regular season before adding five touchdowns with two interceptions in the playoffs.
Adding Jacobs to this offense could be unfair on opposing defenses. He will face lighter boxes than he saw in Las Vegas.
The Packers Have A Bright Future With Jordan Love

Jordan Love’s future with the Packers is no longer up for debate. It’s is going to happen. A long-term deal will be finalized when sometime this off-season.
After signing Love to a one-year extension last offseason, the Packers must wait 12 months before signing him to a new contract. Having negotiations drag out over the summer and become a distraction during training camp does no one any good.
It is expected that Love will become one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league. It is possible for him to earn over $50 million per year.
In the league, he ranked second in passing touchdowns with 32 behind his 4,159 yards and 11 interceptions.
In the NFC Wild Card Round, Green Bay defeated the Dallas Cowboys despite having the youngest roster in the NFL. The Packers’ season ended with just a three-point loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round.
