Milwaukee Brewers beat reporter Curt Hogg recently joined The Mike Heller Show to talk baseball. One question he was asked was of the players that weren’t on the roster a year ago, who has been the most impressive in April? Four options were given including Brian Anderson, Brice Turang, William Contreras, and Wade Miley.
Mike Heller also proposed this question via a Twitter poll. The poll is open until late Wednesday night, but Curt Hogg answered against the popular vote by saying that he thought the most impressive was veteran starting pitcher Wade Miley.
The @Brewers are 12-5 out of the gate… of the players that weren’t on the roster a year ago… who is most impressive in April?

Has Wade Miley been the most impressive Milwaukee Brewers newcomer?
There’s no denying that all four of these players have performed very well so far. Brian Anderson is the team leader in RBI with 15, Brice Turang has been contributed in all facets of the game, William Contreras began the season with an 11 game hit streak while becoming the leagues current best defensive catcher, and Wade Miley has a 1.50 ERA over his first 18.0 innings pitched.
Hogg’s explanation for picking Wade Miley was as followed, “On the whole he’s been the Brewers best pitcher this year, you could say, and that’s impressive. It’s a flashback to 2018 and you kinda remember that’s why you had full confidence in him going into those playoff starts. This is why everyone wanted to give the ball to Wade Miley in an elimination game.”
