The Milwaukee Bucks will begin the 2024-2025 NBA season this week. It will be interesting to see what the starting lineup and bench rotation will be for head coach Doc Rivers this season.
One of the players who seem to be lost in the shuffle for the Bucks has been MarJon Beauchamp. He was the 24th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Beauchamp is 24 years old.
Milwaukee Bucks Could Trade MarJon Beauchamp and Re-Sign Thansis Antetokounmpo To the Roster
On Saturday, NBA reporter Keith Smith reported that the Bucks could very well trade Beauchamp and that the Bucks have some interest in re-signing Thanasis Antetokounmpo, a league source told Spotrac. This would be a very interesting move for a couple of reasons.
MarJon Beauchamp is still young and it would appear as if the Bucks are giving up on him too quickly. Also, the Milwaukee Bucks have been criticized in the past for having Thanasis Antetokounmpo on the team solely because of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Thanasis Antetokounmpo is also expected to miss the 2024-2025 season because of a Torn Achilles tendon he is rehabbing.
Fans React
There is no doubt that Milwaukee’s fanbase was going to have a meltdown over this potential move. Here is what they had to say about it on Twitter:
Please tell me this is a joke

This is crazier than the Doc Rivers comments earlier today.

Love @Giannis_An34 but to dump a good player you need to have your brother rode the bench as cheerleader – absolutely ridiculous!! Μαλακιες !!

If we get rid of Marjon for Thanasis I’m done with this team

If they were to trade MarJon Beauchamp, they need to get a decent player in return for him. They should not trade him for the sake of trading him. It would be a major mistake for Milwaukee Bucks general manager Jon Horst to trade him and bring back Thanasis Antetokounmpo to the team just for locker room reasons. They have to get better through trades, but not this way.
