The Milwaukee Brewers made starting pitching depth a priority during the offseason. That depth may now get tested in the most difficult way as their top two starting pitchers are injured. Brandon Woodruff is currently out with a subscapularis strain and Corbin Burnes sustained a minor injury during his most recent outing against the Seattle Mariners.
Milwaukee Brewers ace Corbin Burnes left his most recent outing with an injury to his left pec.
Burnes appeared to grab near his left chest/pec region after throwing a pitch. He immediately called the athletic trainer to the mound and was removed from the game. This is an injury to his non-dominant side.

Following the game, the Milwaukee Brewers indicated that Burnes has a left pec strain. They are saying that it is minor, but will continue to watch him closely over the next few days and that he could make his next start.
Corbin Burnes did not miss a start for the Brew Crew a season ago. He was the only starting pitcher on the Brewers who remained healthy last season and did not miss a turn through the rotation. His durability means a lot to this team so hopefully he is able to recover quickly and return to the mound.
