Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Garrett Mitchell

The Milwaukee Brewers played their first Spring Training game on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-4. Milwaukee’s offense was led by center fielder Garrett Mitchell, who hit two mammoth two-run home runs to lead the Crew to victory. Rowdy Tellez Put the Milwaukee Brewers on the Board First Rowdy Tellez, the Brewers’ home run leader last season, put Milwaukee on the board with a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning: Tellez went 1-3 in the game. He hit his home run off of Dodgers’ right-handed starter Michael Grove. Grove made his Major League debut…

The Wisconsin Badgers will have three of their former players attending the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana this upcoming week. Nick Herbig, Keeanu Benton, and Joe Tippmann will showcase their talents for NFL scouts, general managers, and coaches. While the above three former Badgers players are not the only ones who declared for the NFL Draft, they are the only ones who were invited to the NFL Combine. Two of the Three Former Wisconsin Badgers Were Ranked Top-40 Prospects Earlier this week, I wrote about how Nick Herbig was named by PFF to be one of…

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur

The Green Bay Packers are sending general manager Brian Gutekunst to Indianapolis, Indiana next week for the 2023 NFL Combine. Head coach Matt LaFleur and the rest of the Packers’ training staff, however, will not be joining him. ESPN’s Rob Demovsky broke the news on Twitter: Demovsky continued: “GM Brian Gutekunst and the personnel department will staff the combine as usual. Typically, Gutekunst has brought the coaching staff into pre-draft meetings and there’s no indication that will change. Gutekunst is expected to speak with reporters in Indy.” The Packers general manager is indeed schedule to speak to reporters at Lucas…

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers has emerged from his darkness retreat and trade rumors seem to have died down. With Derek Carr visiting the New York Jets, it seems as if New York is keeping their options open before over-paying for the four-time MVP. Additionally, the Las Vegas Raiders have recently backed out of any potential trade discussions. That has not stopped many from still believing that a trade of Rodgers to either of those teams could still happen. One such person is former Jets cornerback Derrelle Revis, who was recently selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Derrelle Revis Says Aaron…

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones

The Green Bay Packers, unfortunately, saw many of their best players underperform in 2022. This played as big a part as any in the team’s 8-9 finish and absence from the NFC Playoffs. In 2021, the Packers put seven players on PFF’s top 101 players list. This season, just two Green Bay players earned that honor. #64: Green Bay Packers CB Jaire Alexander Jaire Alexander was the highest ranked Green Bay Packers player this past season. After missing most of 2021 with a shoulder injury, Alexander came back to play in 16 of 17 games while having, arguably, the best…

Milwaukee Bucs

The Milwaukee Bucks surprised everyone when Giannis Antetokounmpo was added to the starting lineup minutes before gametime. Unfortunately, the two-time MVP was only able to play a little over six minutes. Giannis bumped knees with a Miami Heat defender and missed the rest of the game. Fortunately, the return of Bobby Portis, the additions of Jae Crowder and Myles Leonard, and the All-Star play of Jrue Holiday was enough to lead the Bucks to a 124-99 blowout victory of the Heat. Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers may come back to play in the NFL next season. If he does, he may play for the Green Bay Packers. Of course, he may not do either. In any case, Rodgers recently finished up his famous darkness retreat in Oregon. With the NFL Combine just days away, the Packers are assuredly going forward with their plan for 2023. Whether or not that plan includes Rodgers remains to be seen. Both Brian Gutekunst and Matt LaFleur have stated that they want him back. Other rumors state the opposite. In any case, Rodgers has dominated headlines ever since he…

Green Bay Packers defensive back Chris Banjo

There are a great deal of former Green Bay Packers players that are now NFL coaches. Doug Pederson, of course, is the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars and won a Super Bowl as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Former running back Edgar Bennett is a long-time wide receivers coach and offensive coordinator now with the Las Vegas Raiders. Al Harris is the defensive backs coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Indeed, one does not have to look far to find a former Packers player on a NFL coaching staff. As it turns out, one more former Packers player is…

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb talks Aaron Rodgers

There are few Green Bay Packers players more beloved among the fanbase than Randall Cobb. An unrestricted free agent, Cobb’s future with the team is uncertain, but it has truly been a pleasure to have seen him find his way back to the Packers after the team released him in 2019. Over the course of his career, Cobb has amassed 625 receptions for 7,585 yards and 53 touchdowns. Of course, most of these have come as a member of the Packers, who drafted him out of Kentucky in the 2011 NFL Draft. Randall Cobb Was Not Named the Best Kentucky…

Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks are set to resume play against the Miami Heat on Friday night. They will do so, most likely, without the assistance of Giannis Antetokounmpo who sprained his wrist right before the All-Star break. The injury kept him out of all but 20 seconds of the All-Star game and completely out of the Skills Challenge (Jrue Holiday filled in for him). Despite his absence, however, other stars were not shy about where they rank him among current NBA players. In fact, two rival Eastern Conference All-Stars named him the best player in the NBA. Boston Celtics’ Star Jayson…
