The Green Bay Packers have a very loyal fanbase. Once a player signs with or is drafted by Green Bay, they are automatically considered part of the community. Indeed, Packers players continue to interact with fans long after their retirement because of the special bond that they have. Of course, given the business of the NFL, it is not uncommon for fan-favorite players to end up leaving the Packers before their careers are over. As much as every player may want to play for one team for their entire career, it simply does not happen very often. Even Packers legends…
The Green Bay Packers are expected to be one of the teams that will compete for a spot in the NFL Playoffs coming out of the NFC. While many believe the Detroit Lions will repeat as NFC North Champions, the Packers are a favorite to earn a top wild card spot. This is, of course, based on the belief that Jordan Love and his young group of pass catchers will take the next step in 2024. While they got off to a slow at the beginning of 2023, Love and the Packers went 7-3 in their final 10 games and…
The Milwaukee Brewers were defeated by the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1 on Tuesday night. The loss snapped a five game winning streak for Milwaukee and dropped their record to 36-25 on the season. Since the Chicago Cubs beat their crosstown rivals, the Chicago White Sox, the Brewers are now six games ahead of them in the National League Central Division standings. The St. Louis Cardinals are seven games back, the Pittsburgh Pirates are seven-and-a-half games back, and the Cincinnati Reds are eight games back. While this Brewers team has been a joy to watch this year, more credit for their success…
The Green Bay Packers made the highly unpopular decision last year to not re-sign kicker Mason Crosby. After 16 seasons, the front office made the decision that the kicker position would be a part of the massive youth movement that they were going to undertake. This movement, of course, meant moving on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers in favor of 2020 NFL Draft pick Jordan Love. Moving on from Rodgers made some sense because Love was entering his fourth year in the NFL and had been sitting behind the future Hall of Famer for three seasons. However, moving on from Crosby…
The Green Bay Packers do not have many questions surrounding their roster going into the 2024 NFL season. Sure, there are some position battles to keep an eye on, but the bulk of the starters, particularly on offense, are back. What is more, many of these young starters, as well as other important contributors, are still on rookie contracts, which makes them incredibly affordable. Currently, the Packers have 10 wide receivers on their 90-man roster. They cost the team a combined total of roughly $12 million. This will undoubtedly be a storyline that is brought up numerous times throughout the season,…
The Green Bay Packers are preparing to take the next step towards their return as serious contenders in the NFL this upcoming season. Last year at this time, there were a plethora of questions surrounding both the short-term and long-term futures of the team. This was because, of course, the Packers had traded Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets in order to hand the keys of the offense over to Jordan Love. At the time, many people, including a good proportion of Packers fans, had serious doubts about whether or not Jordan Love would be a successful NFL quarterback.…
The Milwaukee Bucks are facing a plethora of questions surrounding their roster going into the 2024-25 NBA season. After trading Jrue Holiday and Grayson Allen for Damian Lillard last offseason, Milwaukee was supposed to be a team that was built for the NBA Playoffs. And perhaps they were, or at least could have been, had Giannis Antetokounmpo not gotten hurt. Of course, Giannis was not the only player hurt during the Bucks’ brief appearance in the postseason before they were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers. Lillard re-injured his Achilles and was severely limited later in the series, even missing a…
The Green Bay Packers have won more NFL Championships than any other team in the league. There is a reason why Green Bay, Wisconsin is known as Titletown, after all. Before the Super Bowl Era, the Packers won nine NFL Championships. Since then, they have also won four Super Bowls. The Packers have also had a great deal of success at the quarterback position throughout their history. Arnie Herber, for example, is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and won four NFL Championships in Green Bay. Bart Starr, of course, is one of the most recognizable names in franchise…
The year that the Milwaukee Bucks drafted Giannis Antetokounmpo, they went 15-67 and drew the second overall pick in the NBA Draft Lottery. After Andrew Wiggins was taken first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee had tough decision to make. The next two consensus top players were Joel Embiid and Jabari Parker. Of course, the Bucks selected Parker. While the previous season had been frustrating for many reasons, the idea that Parker and Giannis would be able to grow and mature together gave Bucks fans a great deal of hope. Within a year or two, the duo would be among…
The Milwaukee Brewers are 36-23 despite an insane amount of injuries to their starting rotation. Brandon Woodruff, of course, was ruled out for the season during Spring Training. Wade Miley started the year on the injured list as well. With Corbin Burnes traded to the Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee entered the 2024 season with a starting rotation of Freddy Peralta, Colin Rea, Joe Ross, Jakob Junis, and DL Hall. Of those five pitchers, three of them are currently on the injured list. Additionally, Miley was ruled out for the season after he came back from IL for two games. He needs…
