The Green Bay Packers chose to invest in the future of Jordan Love during the 2023 off-season by trading away four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The move came after the Packers finished 8-9 on the season, third place in the NFC North, and missed the playoffs.
At the time no one (outside of the Packers’ front office) knew if Love had what it took to be the next “guy” in Green Bay. However, one full season later the league is starting to realize that the Packers may just in fact be on their third straight franchise quarterback.
Love’s rise caught a few people off-guard, that includes his former teammate.

The newest Packers’ starting quarterback has created a new excitement in Green Bay.
Jordan Love Had A Season To Remember In 2023
Love’s final statistics were 64.2% completions, 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, resulting in a 9-8 final record.
Prior to 2023, Love had played in 10 games (one start) with a completion rate of 60.2% (50-83) and 606 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Despite an inconsistent start to the season, Love ranked No. 10 among NFL quarterbacks in passing yards, No. 2 in touchdowns (behind Dak Prescott), and No. 10 in passer rating with at least 300 attempts.
During the huge playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys, he completed 16 of 21 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns, flirting with a perfect passer rating. Love did more than enough to earn himself a massive pay day, gain confidence from the Packers’ organization, and even entice free agents (Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney) to come play in Green Bay.
The future seems extremely bright with Jordan Love under center in Green Bay.
