The Milwaukee Brewers played their first Spring Training game on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-4. Milwaukee’s offense was led by center fielder Garrett Mitchell, who hit two mammoth two-run home runs to lead the Crew to victory.
Rowdy Tellez Put the Milwaukee Brewers on the Board First
Rowdy Tellez, the Brewers’ home run leader last season, put Milwaukee on the board with a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning:

Tellez went 1-3 in the game. He hit his home run off of Dodgers’ right-handed starter Michael Grove. Grove made his Major League debut for the Dodgers last season, and was 1-0 with a 4.60 ERA in seven games (six starts). The home run to Tellez was the only hit and run allowed by Grove in his one inning of work.
Garrett Mitchell Hit Two Big Bombs
Garrett Mitchell started the game in center field for Milwaukee and hit leadoff. With the Brewers down 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Mitchell sent a two-run home run to the opposite field:

In 28 games with the Brewers late last season, Mitchell totaled two home runs 61 at bats. He had two in three at bats for Milwaukee in this game.
