Yelich Toe Tap

On March 6th, 2020, Christian Yelich signed a nine-year, $215 million dollar contract. The deal was a seven-year extension to the two years remaining on his existing deal. At the time, Yelich was coming off of back-to-back MVP-level seasons and was quickly becoming the new face of the franchise. The contract seemed like a win-win since it made sure Yelich would be a Brewer for the prime of his career at a price relatively team-friendly for his MVP-level production. Fast-forward a little over two years later, Christian Yelich is now seen as only a shadow of his former self.…

JJ Watt Tweet

Former Wisconsin Badger and current Arizona Cardinal JJ Watt is arguably the kindest man in the NFL. For much of the last decade, he has used his platform to build up communities and help individuals when they need it most. Last night on Twitter, Watt showed his kindness once again. On Wednesday evening, a fan posted on Twitter that she was selling her JJ Watt shoes and jersey to help pay for her grandfather’s funeral costs. She tagged JJ Watt in her post so Twitter’s algorithm would project her tweet to more Watt fans. She would have never thought JJ…

Brewers Stadium

Over the past week, the Milwaukee Brewers received a potential plan to create an entertainment district near American Family Field. According to Brewers Operations President Rick Schlesinger, the plan they received is still very much in its early stages. The newly-introduced resolution called for a study of whether to build an entertainment district in some of the stadium parking lots south of Interstate 94 and east of the State Highway 175. Is the Plan Realistic? When asked how solid the details of the plan are, Schlesinger said “I wouldn’t say [they] are faulty, but probably require further development. Obviously, the…

Brewers Hader

Before Tuesday’s game, Brewers’ closer Josh Hader had a streak of 40 consecutive scoreless innings. However, after surrendering two home runs in the 9th inning to the Philadelphia Phillies, that streak is now over. Hader began the 2022 season with a potentially record-breaking pace. Continuing off of his dominance at the end of the 2021 regular season, Hader had been solidifying himself as the top reliever in all of baseball. He had matched Houston Astros reliever Ryan Pressly for the longest such stretch in MLB history. Tuesday’s loss was Hader’s first blown save since July 7, 2021, against the…

The Milwaukee Brewers have opened the 2022 season with a bang. Although there haven’t been many insane performances from specific players, the team is consistently winning games. They won so many games in the first two months of the season that they actually set a new franchise record for their best start to a season with a 32-18 record. Their 32-18 record is good enough for first place in the National League Central. It is also good enough for the third-best record in the National League. Lastly, to cap it all off, their record is fourth-best in all of Major…

Ethan Small Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers are expected to call up Ethan Small, their top pitching prospect. The news comes in a report by MLB insider Jeff Passan on Sunday afternoon. This move comes as a delayed response to Freddy Peralta’s injury. With Peralta likely out until August, it was clear that the Brewers would begin to consider giving one of their top prospects a shot. Aaron Ashby is already being announced as a starter for the first half of the Brewers doubleheader versus the Chicago Cubs. This call-up could signal that Small is in line for his major league debut against the…
