The situation regarding Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers could be coming to a close soon. Although the long-time Packers signal-caller hasn’t made a decision yet, NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN gave a massive update on Friday:
“What’s becoming clear is a trade feels more possible than ever. Backup QB Jordan Love is ready to play after three seasons in the shadows, and the Packers are comfortable with his development.”
There are plenty of headlines regarding Rodgers, including the New York Jets going full force to try and land the veteran QB after a neverending QB carousel in New York.
Could Aaron Rodgers Be Traded Soon?
As Fowler reported, the organization seems ready to hand Jordan Love the keys and finally unleash the former first-round pick. On top of that, the rumored trade packages for Rodgers are large, and Green Bay could expedite a rebuild if they are able to land a couple of draft picks for #12.
The Packers missed the playoffs this season and Rodgers finished the year with 3,695 yards and 26 touchdowns, but the writing appears to be on the wall for both sides of this.
Aaron Rodgers ll sparked some discussion by saying he’s “not going to San Fran” during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week, and that shut down any hopes San Francisco 49ers fans had of Rodgers returning to the Bay Area.
All eyes are on Aaron Rodgers for the next couple of weeks, and only time will tell if the Packers trade him away and begin a new era with Jordan Love under center.
