One Team Reportedly Going “All Out” For Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will have a big decision to make this off-season.  First, it will be Rodgers deciding if he even wants to play in 2023.  Signs point to him playing in 2023.  Recently he eliminated the San Francisco 49ers as a possible destination.  Why would he eliminate a team if he is thinking about retiring?  Rodgers has also said he still believes he can play at a high level in this league.  If he decides to play in 2023, and the Packers are set on trading him, one team is reportedly willing to go “all out” to try to acquire him.

New York Jets Reportedly Willing To Go “All Out” For Aaron Rodgers

    According to Pro Football Network:

New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas is admitting to people in the league that the team will “go all out” in order to trade for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.

Jets Owner Woody Johnson stated he would give up “Multiple Firsts” or Aaron Rodgers

    Per Dov Kleiman:
The Packers will want at least two 1st round picks in a trade for QB Aaron Rodgers, Peter King shares in his column. King adds that Jets owner Woody Johnson would happily pay that price. The question remains if Rodgers even wants to play for NY.
That makes both the New York Jets Owner and General Manager on the same page about trying to acquire the four-time MVP quarterback.  It is important to note that Aaron Rodgers doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract. The Packers don’t need his direct permission to trade him, at least not contractually.  Also the Packers will not be trading Aaron Rodgers within the NFC Conference. They “will explore” the idea of trading the QB exclusively to the AFC, per Adam Schefter.
Two first round picks for QB Aaron Rodgers would be a dream scenario for the Green Bay Packers, especially if they are confident in Jordan Love.  It is no coincidence that multiple outlets are now reporting on what it would take for Aaron Rodgers to be traded.  The Green Bay Packers will, at the very least. be picking up the phone any time a team comes with an offer.  Jordan Love has made it clear that he wants to play in 2023.  If the Packers find the right suitor, the Love era could be a full go in 2023.
