While the NFL world sits and waits around for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision, he is taking some time to relax. Rodgers is at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and obviously, he’s drawing quite a bit of intention. While he was on the tee, Colt Kost asked if he had any news to share. Rodgers’ response may be worth listening to.

Why Aaron Rodgers’ Comment May Hold Some Weight
Although Rodgers’ tone seems light, and he may just be having some fun, it’s different than his tone last offseason. Last year Rodgers tried to stay out of the media, and amidst all the trade speculation he did not joke about any of it. This time around he seems more open to the idea.
“I’m not going to San Fran”
-Aaron Rodgers
As all fans know, Aaron Rodgers grew up in California as a 49ers fan. On draft day he was believed to be going to San Francisco who held the number one overall pick. Instead, Rodgers fell to the Packers and the rest is history. Aaron Rodgers also delivered this all-time great quote that has not aged that well.
Moments after the Green Bay Packers selected him with the 24th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, Aaron Rodgers was asked how disappointed he was that he wouldn’t be a member of the San Francisco 49ers, the team he grew up rooting for: pic.twitter.com/0joayFEMt7

Aaron Rodgers History Against San Francisco

Rodgers did not end up a 49er as everyone knows, but he’s seen them four times in the playoffs. He has never led the Packers to a win over the 49ers in the postseason. However, since being drafted he can say he has won a Super Bowl. The 49ers organization cannot make the same claim.
In the end, Rodgers is clearly joking, but if he does decide to return, and the Packers want to move on, he will be traded. The only questions then would be where and for how much.
