It’s going to be a crucial offseason for the Milwaukee Bucks as they make a number of pivotal decisions that will not only affect their title push next season but will also have major implications for the foreseeable future.
Given how the season ended for them, it would not be a complete shock if the Bucks make a couple of roster-shaking moves that will result in an entirely new-look team in 2024-25.
Milwaukee Bucks Trade Target: De’Andre Hunter

According to Nathaniel Holloway of Givemesport, former No. 4 overall pick De’Andre Hunter of the Atlanta Hawks should be a trade target for the Bucks this offseason. In his proposed trade proposal, however, Milwaukee will need to give up quite a lot in exchange for the 6-foot-8 swingman.
Below are the details of the proposed trade:
Hawks receive: Pat Connaughton, MarJon Beauchamp, 2026 First-Round Pick
Bucks receive: De’Andre Hunter
Holloway argues that Hunter will be able to provide a viable two-way threat for the Bucks — something that they will need considering how this proposed deal also entails having to ship off star big man Brook Lopez, the team’s defensive anchor, to make room for Hunter’s average annual salary of $23.3 million over the next three seasons.
“Hunter would add to an already good offensive team, but he would really help Milwaukee defensively. The Bucks finished last season 19th in defensive rating out of the 30 teams.
“This is not surprising after they traded away Jrue Holiday last season, losing one of the best defensive guards in the league. Adding Hunter would not fully replace losing Holiday, but would be a step in the right direction,” Holloway wrote.

Losing Pat Connaughton would be tough as this leaves Milwaukee one stretch player short. MarJon Beauchamp’s departure, on the other hand, would mean the Bucks would lose yet another young talent from their roster.
However, the catch here is the 20206 first-round pick they will need to give up. Given today’s market, I’m not entirely sure if Hunter is worth a first-rounder, which makes adding both Connaughton and Beauchamp to the deal feel like overkill.
