Green Bay Packers Predicted To Trade Up in 2024 NFL Draft To Take Notre Dame Offensive Tackle

After enduring a brutal loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Green Bay Packers have ended their impressive run this season. The next target in their sights, though, is how to make the most of the 2024 NFL Draft.

As it stands, the Packers are in possession of eight picks in the upcoming Draft. This set includes the 25th, which is projected to be used on Notre Dame’s Cooper DeJean.

What DeJean brings to the table is an intriguing prospect who can play both cornerback and safety. With him in the lineup, the team’s defense is expected to be better if the 25th pick is used on him.

But while defense may be a key area Green Bay needs to address, improving the offense can be an enticing route to take. If this happens, expect the Packers to pass up on DeJean and go with another rookie.

Green Bay Packers Projected To Trade Up and Select Notre Dame’s Joe Alt in 2024 NFL Draft

If offense is a need Green Bay needs to address, the front office has to be aggressive in getting Joe Alt in the Draft. According to Brandon Thorn of Bleacher Report:

“While he isn’t the most powerful blocker and will concede some initial ground in his anchor, Alt has virtually every other tool and skill to become an immediate impact starter at left tackle with the runway to continue ascending and cement his status as a foundational piece of a roster,” Thorn said.

With Alt in the lineup next season, expect Jordan Love to have more options on the field when it comes to offense. After the crucial mistake Love made in last Saturday’s game against the 49ers, improving the quarterback’s game will definitely play well in the Packers’ future.

In any case, keep an eye on Green Bay in the coming months to see what moves they’ll make before, during, and after the 2024 NFL Draft.
