The Milwaukee Brewers and Gary Sanchez reportedly agreed to a deal on February 7.  All free agent deals are pending physicals and occasionally restructures occur when issues arise.  Until recently the holdup was believed to be related to an issue with his physical, but now a report from Ken Rosenthal has confirmed that suspicion. The Milwaukee Brewers are a very calculated team.  This means that their actions come with full awareness of a situation including any consequences.  Recently it was reported that they agreed to bring free agent pitcher Brandon Woodruff back on a two year contract despite him possibility not being able to pitch in 2024 due to undergoing shoulder surgery this off-season. The Milwaukee Brewers are officially experimenting with first round draft pick Sal Frelick as an infielder.  Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic was the first to put a story up on this and shared how he trained with Dustin Pedroia last fall in order to prepare for this opportunity.  Manager Pat Murphy then confirmed that we will be seeing him in the dirt this spring. Milwaukee Brewers first year manager Pat Murphy has a fun and unique way of operating that tends to keep things light.  Back when he was still Craig Counsell’s bench coach he first encountered Sal Frelick at their spring facility in Arizona.  An initial joke and laugh between them ultimately led to Murphy using his connections to have Frelick learn infield from Dustin Pedroia.
