The MLB trade deadline has come and passed.  Teams can no longer trade with one another to help bolster their roster, but an alternative option remains for teams to improve.  That is September call ups in which often times prospects are the ones who get called up. The Milwaukee Brewers have made their first move during trade deadline week.  News came out on Wednesday evening that they are going to acquire INF Eduardo Escobar of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks had been identified as sellers early on in this season when they lost 17 games in a row in June.  They additionally lost a MLB record 24 straight road games.  Escobar had been on many Brewers fans radars since then. The trade deadline is this coming Friday at 3PM CT and rumors are heating up.  The latest rumor has indicated that the Milwaukee Brewers are interested in starting pitcher Kyle Gibson. The Brewers currently possess one of the best trio’s in baseball in Brandon Woodruff, Corbin Burnes, and Freddy Peralta.  Adding Gibson to the mix would make this one of the best rotations in baseball. The Milwaukee Brewers have assembled one of the best pitching staffs in baseball this season. Not everything came together at once, as a few players had hiccups in seasons prior. Injuries have been a story line for the Milwaukee Brewers this year.  Unfortunately that misfortune has followed this team into the post all star break portion of the schedule.  The team announced today that Devin Williams has been placed on the injured list with a pre-cautionary injury.
