The Milwaukee Brewers are officially experimenting with first round draft pick Sal Frelick as an infielder. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic was the first to put a story up on this and shared how he trained with Dustin Pedroia last fall in order to prepare for this opportunity. Manager Pat Murphy then confirmed that we will be seeing him in the dirt this spring.
Although he was originally drafted as an outfielder, in which he has excelled there defensively, Frelick does come with prior infield experience. In college he played some second base. With the Brewers this year he has been prepping to play either third or second base.
A few videos have shown Sal Frelick looking smooth at third base.

Milwaukee Brewers fans have been in a frenzy regarding these clips of Sal Frelick at third base.
If this works out it could be huge.

This guy can do it all…upstairs needs to quit talking to the Padres immediately.

I figured they were gonna have to get craft with Mitchell coming back and the arrival of Chourio, but I did not think this was an option. Gotta have Frelick in that lineup somehow, guys always doing something. Great footwork too. https://t.co/wFMVwFSrIh

This is one way to solve the logjam in the outfield. https://t.co/v8Brixqzny
