Willy Adames has proved to be potentially one of the best players in the National League. Names such as Jacob deGrom, Fernando Tatis Jr, and even Nick Castellanos come to mind when thinking of who should be the NL MVP. On the other hand, I think it’s time we put Willy Adames’ name in that MVP discussion. The Tampa Bay Rays traded Adames and RHP Trevor Richards in exchange for bullpen relievers J.P. Feyereisen and Drew Rasmussen. At the time, Adames had played in 41 games with the Rays with a slash line of .197/.254/.371/.625. He hit five home runs…
The Milwaukee Brewers currently stand in first place in the NL Central. An impressive 16 games over .500, the Brewers really are on top of the world. While it might sound crazy, the Brewers can really contribute a big portion of their success to the starting rotation. The Brewers’ pitching has always had some sort of success in either one or two players over the years, but seeing it thrive the way it is? Really unheard of for the crew. While the pitching stays hot, the offense is finally providing the run support the pitchers have been looking for. There’s…
There are a fair share of players throughout all of Major League Baseball that deserve proper recognition. The one in discussion in this article? Tyrone Taylor. Who is he? Tyrone Taylor was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the second round of the 2012 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Torrance, CA. From then, he’s played the majority of his career in the minor leagues. While he hasn’t had a lot of time in the big leagues, the time he has spent there has been amazing. The problem is, the Milwaukee Brewers seem to exercise all options they have for…
After a day off, the Milwaukee Brewers continue their homestand against the Arizona Diamondbacks for four games. The Brewers were on a five game winning streak until Tuesday when the Detroit Tigers won 10-7. The crew did split the series with the Tigers, but they’re looking to hop back on the winning train. The team currently sits in third in the NL Central with a 29-26 record on the year. The Diamondbacks have lost the last 15 out of 17 games; Their last loss being Tuesday against the New York Mets. They’re currently fifth in the NL West with a…
Though one trip was thought to be enough, it seems that maybe another trip down to Nashville is necessary for Keston Hiura. What’s Going On? Sent down on May 3 after what seemed to be the beginning of the downward slump, Keston Hiura hasn’t shown much improvement upon returning. Hiura was sent to Nashville with the hopes that maybe the minor league stint would light a fire under him. While in Nashville, he hit .438/.526/.906 with a 1.433 OPS and four home runs. His strikeout rate still remained high, however. But, reading those numbers, you would think Hiura would bring…
With the Milwaukee Brewers still without key stars such as Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain, it’s come as a surprise that they’re still ranked first in the NL Central. Going into the fourth week of the season, the Brewers have gotten quite lucky in where they’re placed thanks to the other teams in the division not performing their best. Slowly Gaining Players Back The crew got Kolten Wong back for the three-game series against the Chicago Cubs in which they took two out of the three games, respectively. The key to really thank is our starting pitching and bullpen crew;…

After facing a tough loss in extra innings on Sunday, the Brewers are taking on the Padres in a three game series as they begin a six-game road trip. Brewers’ Starting Pitcher: Brandon Woodruff Brandon Woodruff is on fire so far this season. While he still has yet to get a win under his belt, Woody has only allowed four earned runs on 10 hits and has punched out 19. In his last outing,…
With the return of baseball, the writers at WSH have decided to make a series of articles dedicated to breaking down each position on the Brewers. Finding an everyday first baseman has just been one of the many infield struggles the Brewers have had to conquer in the offseason. Here, we take a look at our potential options for the first base position. Keston Hiura With the offseason acquisition of Gold Glove winner Kolten Wong came the challenge of figuring out who the everyday second baseman would be. Keston Hiura spent 49 games at second base last season. Defensively, he…
Going into the 2020 season, things were looking pretty good for starting pitcher Adrian Houser. However, it appeared to be the other way around… Once the very strange 60-game season came to an end, we saw Houser as a bullpen pitcher and at the bottom of the rotation. Could 2021 be the comeback year for the pitcher? Starting off Strong Houser started off his 2020 season pretty strong. He didn’t take any losses and gave up six hits in his first two starts. The hope was to secure him in the third spot behind Brandon Woodruff and Corbin Burnes. His…
