After what seemed to be a struggling weekend against the Cincinnati Reds, the Milwaukee Brewers finally came out on top, winning Sunday’s game 9-3 at Miller Park. It was an aces showdown with the crew’s own Brandon Woodruff and Reds’ Sonny Gray who went into this game 3-0 on the season with a 0.96 ERA. The Milwaukee Brewers struggled once again as they faced the Cincinnati Reds for game two at Miller Park, falling 4-1 on Saturday night. The Brewers have yet to win a game on their home turf. It seemed doomed from the beginning; Nick Castellanos lined out to center and Joey Votto grounded into the infield shift. However, Keston Hiura botched what would’ve been a double play. After a tough weekend against the Chicago Cubs, the Milwaukee Brewers went 1-2 at Wrigley Field as part of Opening Weekend. Although the games could have gone better, it was refreshing to have baseball back. In breaking news as of Sunday players and personnel of the Miami Marlins tested positive for COVID-19 as the results of an outbreak within their clubhouse. Games went on as scheduled, but the Marlins game is postponed today. However, this may be the beginning to the end of the entire 2020 season. It was a very anticipated day for Milwaukee Brewers fans as baseball is finally back. The Brewers started their three-game series and unfortunately came up short, falling 3-0 to the Cubs. How Did It Go? Starting the game was ace, Brandon Woodruff, who was throwing heat right from the beginning. His highest velocity pitch reaching 99.3 MPH. We’re just days away from kicking off the shortened 2020 season as the Milwaukee Brewers face the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
