The Packers cut four players today, including tight end Dominique Dafney, as they trim their roster down to 85.

Earlier today, it was reported that the Green Bay Packers cut ties with edge rusher Randy Ramsey. Earlier this offseason, Ramsey made headlines by saying he was excited to show the NFL what the Green Bay Packers saw in him. Unfortunately, Ramsey, who played in 12 games for the Packers in 2020, missed all of 2021 with an injury. He also spent a great deal of time injured during this camp. In addition to Ramsey, the Packers also cut 2022 undrafted free agent Cole Schneider and cornerback Donte Vaughn. The team’s press release announcing these moves can be read here.…

Brewers world series, brewers gm

The Milwaukee Brewers have had their best run of success under the leadership of David Stearns. First hired as one of the youngest general managers in the history of baseball in 2016, Stearns turned the perennial losing franchise around. Now within reach of a fifth straight postseason appearance, the Brewers may (or may not) be in the final weeks of the David Stearns era in Milwaukee. It Is Unclear If David Stearns Has an Option for 2023 Since his hire as general manager, David Stearns has been promoted to the President of Baseball Operations. This promotion was, no doubt,…

Corbin Burnes is no stranger to making history. The reigning NL Cy Young Award winner already has numerous records in Brewers and Major League history. After his performance against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday night, Burnes set himself up to do something no other Brewers pitcher has ever done. Burnes finished his night with the line of seven innings pitched, four hits, one earned run, and six strikeouts. While he did not get the win, the Brewers won in extra innings and Burnes overtook the Major League lead in strikeouts. His 181 strikeouts on the season is the most…

Aside from Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis may be the most popular Milwaukee Bucks player among fans. He is beloved for his hard-nosed style of play and for being Milwaukee’s “underdog” and unofficial mayor. The love the city has for Portis is reciprocated, as he told Sirius XM NBA Radio in an interview earlier this week: “You go through your highs and lows, go through your trials and tribulations of trying to find yourself in the league. I found myself here in Milwaukee. Love it here, the fit on this team around great players, great guys that just want to win.…

Major League Baseball’s trade deadline has come and gone. The Milwaukee Brewers traded four-time All-Star closer Josh Hader to the San Diego Padres for Taylor Rogers, Dinelson Lamet (who was then cut), and two prospects. Mark Mathias and another prospect were sent to the Texas Rangers in exchange for Matt Bush, who has two saves now with the Brewers. Milwaukee also acquired Trevor Rosenthal, who has not pitched since 2020 due to a slew of injuries, though Craig Counsell revealed that Rosenthal is ready to start a rehab assignment on Tuesday. Missing in all of these deals, though, is something…

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers played their first preseason game, allowing us to see some young players and roster hopefuls in game action. While the scores of preseason games mean very little, the play on the field can have some big implications for the 53-man roster. Here, I present three players that performed very well and three that left a lot to be desired. A Note on Jordan Love Jordan Love started the game and played the first half for the Green Bay Packers. He finished his night 13/24 with two touchdowns and three interceptions. There was plenty of hate for…

The Green Bay Packers kick off preseason game action tonight against the San Francisco 49ers. Many of the team’s starters will not be playing, including Aaron Rodgers. This means that many players who are fighting for spots and playing time will be given ample opportunity to showcase what they can do. Despite having an offense and defense ranked in the preseason top ten by various sites, the Packers still have some question marks at key positions. Here, I highlight three position battles that could be determined by how players perform in the preseason games, starting tonight. The Third Running Back…

The Green Bay Packers have one of the best defenses in the NFL. At least on paper, that is. However, one position of concern is the safety position. While Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage are entrenched as the starters, there is concern about the quality of depth. Vernon Scott, by all accounts, has been having a tremendous camp. However, he did not see the field as a defender at all last season due to, well, not being very good. Even if Scott does work out this season, the Packers will still need quality players at the position just in case…

Aaron Rodgers Says He Considered Retiring Green Bay Packers 001 1

Are we really still doing this? I asked myself this question when I came across a NFL.com article on the best fits for some high-profile free agents that are still on the market. I did not see a problem with most of the arguments. However, analyst Marc Ross listed the Green Bay Packers as the best fit for former first-round pick Will Fuller. Fuller, of course, is an oft-injured wide receiver who has also missed games due to suspension. Before going into why this would be a horrible idea for the Packers, here is what Ross had to say about Fuller…
