COVID-19 cases continue to climb across the country, and cases within the NFL are no exception. The Green Bay Packers placed G Ben Braden, LB Tipa Galeai, WR Amari Rodgers, and LB Ty Summers on the reserve/COVID-19 list. In addition, the team placed DL R.J. McIntosh on the practice squad reserve/COVID-19 list. Packers’ General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the moves Monday.  Players put on the list either tested positive for COVID-19 or are considered close contacts with an infected person. Organizations are only allowed to comment on a player’s roster status, not their medical status.  With today’s additions, the total…

Dana Rettke just keeps adding to her long list of collegiate accolades. Rettke is the first ever five-time first team All-American. Of course, the extra year of eligibility the NCAA granted to student athletes due to the COVID-19 pandemic allowed Rettke to play for one more season and earn this award. Because of these circumstances, it is very unlikely that anyone else will ever be a five-time first team All-American, because they won’t be eligible to play for five seasons. Rettke wasn’t the only Badger to earn All-American honors. In addition, setter Sydney Hilley was named to the All-American first…

There are more NFL owners today than there were last week. The Green Bay Packers launched their sixth stock sale in franchise history on Tuesday. Shares of stock are priced at $300 a piece. In the first two days, the sale generated over $36 million dollars, as the team sold more than 110,000 shares.  While some people have criticized the sale, calling it a “scam,” buyers have truly embraced it. While it’s probably the most expensive piece of paper shareholders own, it’s priceless to own a piece of their team.  1. Selling stock kept the Packers in Green Bay…

The red-hot Badgers take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights Saturday afternoon at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey. Wisconsin will look to extend their win streak to five games.  After starting the season 1-3, Wisconsin (5-3 overall, 3-2 BIG 10) has won four straight games, the last two against top-25 opponents. Rutgers (4-4, 1-4) is coming off of their first conference win of the year against Illinois last week.  The Badgers and Scarlet Knights have only faced off three times prior to Saturday’s matchup. Wisconsin is 3-0 all-time against Rutgers, and has thoroughly dominated all three games, outsourcing the Scarlet…

Happy Halloween, Cheeseheads! We can enjoy a stress free Halloween Sunday this year after the Packers beat the previously undefeated Cardinals on Thursday night. But, to remain in the holiday spirit, here are three Packers who have been ‘Spooktacular’ so far in 2021! #1: De’Vondre Campbell In the words of Aaron Rodgers, how was this guy still on the street in June? It’s hard to imagine where the Packers’ defense would be this season without Campbell. His impact has been profound: He leads the team in tackles (76), interceptions (2), and forced fumbles (2). In addition, Campbell has been a…

Aaron Rodgers became an instant meme during the Packers’ Thursday night win over the previously undefeated Cardinals.  In the third quarter of the game, Rodgers threw a touchdown to Randall Cobb to put the Packers up by two scores. However, Rodgers took a hard, late hit from Jordan Phillips at the end of the play, and Phillips was called for roughing the passer.  The image of the three-time MVP on the ground after the hit — captured on the Fox broadcast — immediately went viral.  https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status/1453909568623370243?s=20 In his post game press conference, Rodgers was asked if he had seen the…
