The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions figure to be competing for the top spot in the NFC North in 2024. Depending on the rookie quarterbacks in Chicago and Minnesota, it could be Detroit and Green Bay for years to come.
There is certainly no love lost between the two organizations, especially their fans. One moment was captured on live television between the two fan bases.

We have seen it over and over again. Rival NFC North fans randomly chanting something negative about the Packers at an event where the two teams aren’t even playing. That was no different at the 2024 NFL Draft when Lions fans broke out in a “Packers Suck” chant.
Ty Schmit, a well known Packers fan who is a host on the Pat McAfee show, had enough.

It was an outburst from the diehard Packers fans that momentarily silenced the crowd.
Schmit did later post about his experience in Detroit:
I will say.. Detroit was an incredible location and venue for the NFL Draft. I’ll remember the 2024 Draft forever. Detroit showed up big time
The Packers And Lions Will Be The Favorites To Compete For The NFC North Title In 2024
While the two teams split the season series in 2023, Detroit had a much better overall season. The Packers finished 9-8 while the Lions finished 12-5. Detroit also made it one round further than Green Bay in the playoffs.
However, the future is certainly bright for Green Bay and the feeling inside 1265 Lombardi Avenue is that they will be looking to make deep runs in the playoffs in the near future.
A competitive Packers-Lions rivalry is not only good for the Division, but good for the Conference as a whole. It will be interesting to see how 2024 plays out. The fans are certainly into it.
