After the original date was postponed, Wisconsin and Northwestern will meet tomorrow to make up their game that was supposed to be played yesterday. A COVID outbreak and injuries in the Wildcats program resulted in the game being moved to tomorrow. Earlier reports stated this would be a 2:30 PM tip, but that is still to be determined. Here is a preview of tomorrow’s game. The Start Of A Busy Week Because of the postponement, it will be a quick turnaround for both Wisconsin and Northwestern. The Badgers are scheduled to face Maryland Wednesday in College Park. That would mean…

Big Ten Basketball standings

The Wisconsin Badgers are almost halfway through the Big Ten season. As we close out January and head into February, teams begin to separate themselves in the Big Ten Basketball standings. As a fan, we begin to figure out who can make noise in March and who will most likely be on the bubble.  The Badgers currently stand at 12-5 overall and 4-3 in the Big Ten. The conference as a whole has been interesting, to say the least. Here are my current thoughts on this year’s team. They Can Beat Anyone But Can Lose To Anyone Over the course…

New Wisconsin Offensive Coordinator Phil Longo has only been on the job a few weeks. To say he’s been incredible so far is an understatement. A big reason why is the explosive offense Longo is bringing from North Carolina and the transfers it’s bringing with it. It’s an offense that benefits the receivers and the quarterback, something that has hindered the Badgers since Russell Wilson. It also allows for a ton of points be scored. However, Wisconsin’s run game benefits just as much as the receiving game. Easier On The Running Backs You could argue Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen…

Penn State Basketball Wisconsin

After dropping their third straight game Saturday, Wisconsin returns home tomorrow. They will take on Penn State Basketball. Both teams sit at 3-3 in the Big Ten. Tip time is scheduled for 7:30 on BTN. Here is a preview of tomorrow’s Penn State-Wisconsin game. Wisconsin Offense Is Due To Break Out vs. Penn State Basketball With Tyler Wahl out the last three games, the Badgers have posted scores of 69, 65, and 45. Credit the opposing defense, but Wisconsin needs to score points if they’re going to beat a good Penn State Basketball offense that scores 75 a game. Without…

Losers of their last two games, Wisconsin looks to end their losing streak tomorrow. They travel to Bloomington to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Tip time is noon on CBS. Here is a preview of tomorrow’s game. Two Reeling Teams As mentioned earlier, Wisconsin has lost their last two games. They fell to Illinois last Saturday and Michigan State Tuesday. CJ Williams USC

The Badgers are at it again, and they struck again! Wisconsin had landed stud freshman wide receiver CJ Williams of USC. https://twitter.com/cjwilliams_03/status/1613645175812919297?s=46&t=6FxK9gNPjlSwsDxkFQGMcg CJ Williams Transfers From USC to Join Badgers Williams only recorded four catches for 34 yards this past year for the Trojans. However, he’s one of the best receivers in the transfer portal. According to 247 Sports, Williams was the 73rd overall player in the class of 2022. This includes the 10th-best receiver in the class and the sixth-best player in California. According to Greg Biggins of 247,  CJ Williams has a player comparison of Keenan Allen. Biggins…

sean jones

At Wisconsin Sports Heroics, we have been given great opportunities to interview former Packers players. This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of interviewing former Green Bay Packer and Super Bowl Champion Sean Jones. Jones was on the defensive line and spent three seasons with the Packers. He recorded 24 sacks in that time. Here is a recap of my interview with Sean Jones at Stadium View Bar and Grill in Green Bay at Gilbert Brown’s Tailgate hosted by Mayfield Sports Marketing. How Does It Feel For Sean Jones To Be Back In Green Bay? Jones mentioned he loves the…

After suffering their first Big Ten loss Saturday, Michigan State Basketball travels to Wisconsin to face the Badgers. Tip time is 6 PM on ESPN. Here is a preview of tomorrow’s game. Can UW Get Better Bench Production vs. Michigan State Basketball? If Tyler Wahl can’t play tomorrow night, it’ll be a second straight start for Carter Gilmore. Once UW had to go to the bench against Illinois, it was an instant weakness. Markus Ilver had a really nice post and basket at the rim right away, but that was about it for the bench. Kamari McGee isn’t a scorer,…

Big Ten Basketball

Wisconsin suffered their first Big Ten Basketball loss of the year today at Illinois. It was a tough ask without leading scorer Tyler Wahl. It was a 79-69 loss for the Badgers. Here are some takeaways from today’s game. Early Production From Supporting Cast Early in this game, Carter Gilmore and Markus Ilver both had really nice minutes. Gilmore started in place of Tyler Wahl. He looked really good in the paint and had four early points. Ilver was the first sub off the bench and had a nice play on the paint for an early bucket. The Big Ten…
