It was a game the Wisconsin Badgers needed. It was a tough ask to beat a team that was 11-1 at home coming into tonight. However, the Badgers earned a hard fought 79-74 overtime win at Penn State, It was the first time in 2023 the Badgers scored more than 70 points. More importantly, this was a quad one win and it helps improve Wisconsin’s tournament resume, Here are three takeaways from tonight’s win. The Big Three Stepped Up I was really hard on Wisconsin’s big three after the Northwestern game. Steven Crowl and Tyler Wahl had 10 points combined…

Former Wisconsin Offensive Coordinator Bobby Engram was only with the Badgers for one season. That was in 2022. He was a Paul Chryst hire and after Chryst’s firing, it became clear Engram would only be around for one season. However, it’s been reported by Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic that Engram has had two interviews for the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator position. The Ravens previously parted ways with Greg Norman at the end of this past season. Engram is familiar with the Ravens as he was their tight ends coach from 2019-2021 before joining the Wisconsin Badgers staff last season.…

It was the same story for the Wisconsin offense tonight. Slow starts, long scoring droughts, and poor execution late in games. It happened again tonight. Wisconsin fell to Northwestern 54-52 at home. It a gut-punching loss as this was a game Wisconsin should have won. With the NCAA Tournament now in jeopardy, here are three takeaways from this game. Wisconsin’s Defense Was Great On the defensive side, Wisconsin has nothing to hang their heads about. They made Northwestern work for a ton of shots. Boo Buie and Chase Audige went off for 36 of the Wildcats 66 points on the…

It wasn’t pretty in the second half, but the Wisconsin Badgers were able to hold on for a road win against the Ohio State Buckeyes. After having a 43-27 lead at half, Wisconsin held on for a 65-60 win. The Badgers end their three game losing streak as well. Connor Essegian led the Badgers with 17 points. UW Basketball Wisconsin Badgers

As we approach February, the Wisconsin Badgers are trending the wrong direction. They have lost six of their last seven games. Most brackets will have UW Basketball as either a Last-Four-In team or out of the bracket entirely. With 10 regular season games left, they are running out of chances to build their tournament resume. The season isn’t over yet, however. Here are three ways the Badgers can get back into it. UW Basketball Needs Better Bench Production To be honest, Wisconsin gets little production from their bench. The only time was when Connor Essegian was first of the bench.…
