The trade deadline is this coming Friday at 3PM CT and rumors are heating up. The latest rumor has indicated that the Milwaukee Brewers are interested in starting pitcher Kyle Gibson.
The Brewers currently possess one of the best trio’s in baseball in Brandon Woodruff, Corbin Burnes, and Freddy Peralta. Adding Gibson to the mix would make this one of the best rotations in baseball.
Potential trade partners for Kyle Gibson include the Rays and Brewers, per source.
As for Gallo, I don’t have much you’re not hearing elsewhere but can reiterate Blue Jays’ interest.

The Texas Rangers are in clear sell mode. That being said trading Kyle Gibson, their 2021 All-Star pitcher, would not be surprising. On the season the 33-year-old has a record of 6-3 with a 2.87 ERA over 19 games. He throws five different pitches and consistently makes batters miss barrels.
Another positive with Gibson is that he would not be a rental. Gibson’s contract goes through the 2022 season in which next year he is owed $7MM. He would likely slot in as the teams fourth starter during that time frame and that contract is certainly something the Brewers could manage to take on.
This years Brewers are a run prevention team so adding a pitcher of his caliber would fit this years mold. An acquisition like this would certainly help their chances of locking up the National League Central, in which they currently have a comfortable lead.
The Rangers likely not going to sell low on Gibson. It will take multiple players, and potentially some of your favorite prospects, to lure him out of Texas. Gibson’s cost is definitely lower than Max Scherzer’s, but if I were the Rangers I would not settle for anything short of what they are seeking in a deal.
The Brewers are also seeking additional offense help to the tune of a power bat and help in the bullpen. Be sure to stay tuned to Wisconsin Sports Heroics as we recap all of the latest rumors and acquisitions.
