It’s been quite the 20 hours or so for Packer fans. Aaron Rodgers went on The Pat McAfee Show yesterday and stated his intentions are to play for the New York Jets next season.
While we wait for the trade to be finalized between the Packers and Jets, a lot of fans are curious to see what kind of haul the Packers will get for Aaron Rodgers. Some say maybe multiple first round picks. Some have said maybe not any first round picks.
ESPN insider Adam Schefter was on ESPN’s Get Up and stated a potential trade package for the soon to be former Green Bay quarterback.
.@AdamSchefter said on @GetUpESPN that he believes Aaron Rodgers will be traded from #Packers ➡️ #Jets for a first this year & a conditional pick next year. 🧐

My Thoughts

I think this would be a fair trade for both sides. I believe Aaron Rodgers is worth a first round pick. He’ can still be a top half of the league quarterback in the NFL when he’s playing at his best. The Jets need a quarterback bad and they are running out of options to get a veteran quarterback.
Now that Rodgers has come out publicly, I think this trade gets done sooner rather than later. The Packers have the leverage in this trade and while they could wait longer to do this, I think both sides want to get this done soon.
