This afternoon the Pewaukee Pirates took on the West Salem Panthers in the WIAA Division 2 Girls Semifinal Game at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI. The winner would meet Wauwatosa East or Notre Dame Academy on Saturday at 6:35 pm. Pewaukee is the #1 Seed followed by West Salem at the #4 Seed.
Pewaukee is coached by Jim Reuter meanwhile West Salem is led by Mike Malott. Pewaukee defeated Beaver Dam in the Sectional Final to get state and West Salem defeated McFarland.
WIAA State Semi-Final Recap First-Half Recap for the Pewaukee Pirates:
Pewaukee went into Halftime with a 20-point lead over the West Salem Panthers. They started a little bit slow but then went on a big run right around the 10-minute mark to gain the lead up to 15 to end the half.
Kyle Pieper led the Pirates in the First Half with 10 points followed by Amy Terrian (9), and Anna Terrian (6).
West Salem last had the lead at the 8-7 mark early on with 10:40 remaining after that moment it was all Pirates for the remainder of the Half.
WIAA State Semi-Final Recap Second-Half for the Pewaukee Pirates:
Pewaukee stayed on the jets and thrived through the second half for a victory over the West Salem Panthers and will play with strong force for the Division 2 State Championship.
Amy Terrian led the way for the Pirates today with 19 points the Michigan State Commit followed by Anna Terrian her sister with 17 points also a Michigan State Women’s Basketball Commit.
The Pewaukee Pirates stayed hot throughout the entire game and took down the West Salem Panthers now during the 3:15 pm slot they will figure out who their next opponent will be.
