On the side of all of this Matt broadcasts Wisconsin (WIAA) and Illinois (IHSA) High School Sports at MaxPreps since August 2022. Matt resides in the Milwaukee Metro area so very exposed to the Professional Sports Teams, and has watched them for most of his life.

Many different High School Sports teams took the field on Thursday Evening around the state like a normal evening. But the Green Bay area had something different planned which was unique.   Specifically, the most fun events of the night came from the Fox River Classic Conference and the Fox Valley Association during Baseball and Softball games this evening.  One of the three events being described is a normal thing that happens in Baseball, but the other ones are unique in their own way.   Kaukauna High School Softball Continues Domination but faced challenges  Over the last few years,…

We are in the final stretch heading into May of the WIAA Baseball Regular Season. Over the last couple of months, we have seen so many good matchups across the area worthy of taking note. The last couple of weeks are going to be tight with several key matchups as well.  Currently, all the local conferences are still looking extremely tight including the Classic Eight, Greater Metro, Metro Classic, Milwaukee City-Gold, North Shore, Southeast, Southern Lakes, Woodland East, and Woodland West.  When previewing the different WIAA Baseball Sectionals, the most difficult is the Oconomowoc sectional which will be played at…

WIAA Boys Basketball Sectional Semi-Final

Coming up this Saturday will be the Final WIAA Pre-State Tournament games for Boys Basketball around Wisconsin. Lots of teams take the court for the opportunity to head to state and battle for the Gold Ball at a Neutral Location. One thing I take into consideration is a lot of State Championship favorites pulled some close games at the end such as the De Pere Redbirds and St. Thomas More Cavaliers. Both of those teams were trailing with a couple of minutes remaining in the game and it wasn’t looking good. The De Pere Redbirds took the Month of March…

The 3:15 pm slot of the WIAA Girls State Semi-Final was between the Wauwatosa East Raiders and the Notre Dame Academy Tritons who are 3-time defending State Champions in Division 2 so it is going to be a tough test for the Raiders this afternoon. Wauwatosa East is an extremely young team and they have a bright future ahead of themselves making the State Tournament is a big early step for them as they have many good years behind them so I would say they are moving ahead of schedule. The Wauwatosa East Raiders are led by Head Coach Mary…

WIAA Boys Basketball Sectional-Semifinal between St. Thomas More and Racine St. Catherines

Tomorrow night is a big night for WIAA Boys Basketball as 78 teams hit the court at Neutral Locations around the State. There are many jammed-packed matchups not just in the Milwaukee area but some statewide that could become a movie night. In my opinion, the most loaded sectional in the State of Wisconsin is Division 3 Sectional #4 with many teams in Division 3 who were ranked in the top 10 of the WisSports coaches poll all year with lots of talent from the Milwaukee Area. Upsets are bound to happen seeing the #1 Seed the Dominican Knights are…
