NFL Community Reacts To Adam Schefter’s Draft News (Trade)

The 2023 NFL Draft is quickly approaching.  This year’s draft will be held in Kansas City, Missouri from April 27th to April 29th.  With the Houston Texans’ week 18 win against the Indianapolis Colts, the Chicago Bears locked up the number one overall pick.  As it turns out, the Bears may be receiving offers for that number one overall pick that have been labeled “unbelievable.”

According to Daniel Greenberg of Chicago Sports Update, Adam Schefter discussed options that the Bears may have going into the draft.  On Wednesday’s radio interview on ESPN Chicago 1000’s Waddle & Silvy, Adam Schefter said the Bears have already received “unbelievable offers” for the top selection.

Bears fans are cautiously optimistic following Schefter’s report.  “This is something we’ve waited for all year,” Joe Tusio said. “A rebuilding team who can set themselves up nicely for the future.”  The time we saw a trade involving the number one overall pick was in 2016.  The Los Angeles Rams sent pick number 15, two second-round picks, two third-round picks, and a future first-round pick to the Tennessee Titans for the first pick, a fourth-round pick, and a sixth-round pick.

The two names that come to mind when trading for that number one overall pick are QB Bryce Young from Alabama, and QB C.J. Stroud from Ohio State.  Both QBs have been projected as the number one overall pick in this year’s draft.  A QB needy team who is ready to pull the trigger on their next franchise quarterback could offer the Chicago Bears a massive trade package.  There have been many fans on social media reacting to this possibility:

Unbelievable good or unbelievable bad? I need to hear that segment.

Right 😂😂. They are trying to drive the price up.

Yes and if fortunate enough to trade down to #2…they will have huge offers at #2! Then if trade down….huge offers for #4!

Then if trade back to #7….decent offers for #7!
