Before the playoffs started, no one would have expected a young Indiana Pacers team to prevail over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. But after the former won Game 2, Former NBA star Lou Williams might have changed his mind about the series.
In that particular game, the Pacers went home with the 125-108 victory over Milwaukee. Pascal Siakam activated his All-Star mode when he posted 37 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Myles Turner dropped 22 points and seven boards, while Andrew Nembhard added 20 as a starter. For his part, Tyrese Haliburton made 12 points and 12 assists for Indiana.
The Bucks, on the other hand, were led by All-Star guard Damian Lillard‘s 34 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Brook Lopez contributed 22 points on 61 percent shooting from the field, while Bobby Portis finished the game with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The win helped Indy get one on the road and eliminate Milwaukee’s home court advantage. The loss, however, means that the Bucks will have to return the favor on the Pacers’ home court in Game 3. In any case, it looks like the momentum has shifted to Indiana’s side.
Former NBA Star Lou Williams Changes His Mind on Milwaukee Bucks-Indiana Pacers Series
After the game, former NBA star and perennial Sixth Man of the Year awardee Lou Williams gave his take on the Bucks-Pacers series. In a video posted by Run It Back on X:
“I was wrong…I said Milwaukee’s gonna run off with this series, this is gonna be an easy one. Indiana completely changed the narrative, and completely changed my mind on how this thing was gonna go.”@TeamLou23 reacts to Pascal Siakam’s stellar performance #Pacers #Bucks pic.twitter.com/Wo11i0yZ2w

Antetokounmpo’s absence has allowed the Pacers to ramp up their physical intensity, as noted by head coach Doc Rivers. As a result, Siakam is proving Indy’s front office right by acquiring him before the trade deadline expired this year.
With the series moving to Indiana, the Bucks will have to adjust their game accordingly. Otherwise, their run this season will come to an early end.
