NBA News: The Milwaukee Bucks are in the midst of an eventful off-season. The first wave of NBA free agency has come and gone. It was an action-packed first few days that saw the Milwaukee Bucks lock up Khris Middleton to a three-year extension and Brook Lopez to a two-year extension. Those were massive developments for the Milwaukee Bucks that will have a significant impact on their outlook for the upcoming season. Now the Bucks are once again being named in an unlikely massive trade scenario.
Milwaukee Bucks Once Again Named In Massive James Harden Trade
FanSided recently published an article breaking down the five best trade destinations for Harden to win a championship. They placed the Milwaukee Bucks as the number one potential suitor:
“Harden-Giannis pick-and-rolls would be thoroughly destructive. Harden is an elite transition playmaker, constantly rocketing hit-ahead passes to teammates sprinting up the court. Giannis is the best fast-break player in the world. Khris Middleton would benefit from Harden’s smooth deliveries behind the 3-point line, as would Milwaukee’s gaggle of role-playing shooters. The Bucks would be quite scary on paper.”
Would The Milwaukee Bucks Ever Trade For James Harden?
As disliked as James Harden may be by Milwaukee Bucks fans, he’d bring an aspect to the game the team has been lacking in. Harden is the half-court shot-creator. The Bucks won a championship in 2021 with Khris Middleton primarily in that role, however, durability and consistency have been a concern for Middleton lately.
Even with the Bucks re-signing Middleton, they’re going to need someone else who can generate offense late in games. A five-man lineup of Harden, Middleton, Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez would be as well-rounded as any other team in the league. Still, it is unlikely to ever happen.
