The Milwaukee Bucks head into Thursday’s showdown against the Orlando Magic looking to avenge their 112-97 loss at the Kia Center earlier this season. The Bucks have taken significant strides since they lost to the Magic more than a month ago and they will now be looking to even the odds when they host Orlando at the Fiserv Forum on Thursday night.
The Bucks, however, might need to do all that without Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Headlines Milwaukee Bucks’ Injury Report Vs. Magic
Bucks fans were on the receiving end of some concerning news on Wednesday night after it was revealed that Antetokounmpo is currently dealing with a right midfoot sprain. The Bucks talisman has been listed as questionable to play on Tuesday against Orlando.
It remains unclear when and how the former back-to-back MVP suffered the knock, but it’s possible that he got injured at some point during Tuesday’s 132-119 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
There are no other surprises on the injury report, though, with Jae Crowder still out as he recovers from surgery on his left adductor.
Damian Lillard May Have to Do Much of the Heavy Lifting
If Giannis is unable to go, then the Bucks will need to rely on Damian Lillard, who has been on a scorching-hot streak of late, to carry them against the Magic. Dame was sidelined during their first meeting against Orlando so you know that the seven-time All-NBA guard will have a point to prove.
Malik Beasley, who returned to action on Tuesday against the Spurs after a two-game stint on the sidelines due to a non-COVID illness, is not on the injury report either. This means that Beasley should take on his usual role as the team’s starting shooting guard against Orlando.
