It’s no secret that Damian Lillard is one of the best shooters in the league right now. But for the Milwaukee Bucks star, though, it’s a different conversation if he’s counted among the greatest of all time in the NBA.
During the previous offseason, Lillard took his talents to Milwaukee when they acquired him from the Portland Trail Blazers. In exchange, the Bucks sent out Jrue Holiday, Grayson Allen, and a couple of picks in a three-team deal that involved the Phoenix Suns.

By that point, Lillard averaged 25.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.7 assists for the Trail Blazers. He also shot 37.2 percent by hitting 3.1 three-pointers from the 8.3 attempts the Portland star made on a nightly basis.
More or less, the Bucks’ starting point guard maintained that kind of productivity when he played 73 games for Milwaukee. However, his pairing with All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t result in a duo that thoroughly dominated the NBA this season. Add a couple of injuries to these two stars, and their team was eliminated early in the playoffs this year by the Indiana Pacers.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard Shares Cryptic Take After Being Named as One of the Top 4 Greatest NBA Shooters

When it comes to outside shooting, Lillard is certainly one of the best in that category. However, a recent take on the league’s greatest shooters had the Bucks star giving a different take than expected.

When it comes to the NBA’s all-time three-point leaders, Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry is leading the pack with 4,365 outside shots made. Ray Allen and James Harden are at second place with 3,358, while Klay Thompson’s 2,982 is in fourth place. LeBron James and Reggie Miller are tied for the fifth spot with 2,880 each.

After those guys is Lillard with 2,826 three-pointers over the course of his 12-year run in the NBA. The fact that he isn’t nowhere near Curry at the top has solicited such response from the All-Star guard.
Nevertheless, Lillard remains a force to be reckoned with from beyond the arc. Hopefully, he gets to add to those outside shots and climb up the ladder in the coming years.
