The Green Bay Packers are certainly expecting to be a contender in 2024. The attitude around 1265 Lombardi Avenue is nothing short of Championship Mindset. However, improving from playoff caliber to Super Bowl contender isn’t a small ask.
The defense will need to play much better than recent years in order to get there. Fortunately for Green Bay, the defense got major reinforcements this off-season.
However, three of those stars were all excused from the same practice.
Three Green Bay Packers Stars All Miss The Same Practice

According to USA Today’s Ryan Wood:
Matt LaFleur confirms Jaire Alexander, Xavier McKinney and Keisean Nixon were “excused” for mandatory minicamp.
They’ve reached their contractual thresholds for workout bonuses. LaFleur sees this week as an extension of OTAs.
This is a fairly impressive thing to see for multiple reasons. Last season Alexander skipped some off-season programs, this is Xavier McKinney’s first season with the team, and Keisean Nixon is looking to solidify his place on defense.

McKinney and Alexander could be one of the best cornerback/safety tandems in the NFL. In their respective positions, both players are among the best in the league when playing to their potential.
A lot depends on them in order for this defense to be effective. The Green Bay Packers have struggled on defense in recent seasons, but they are hopeful that will change with Jeff Hafley taking over for Joe Barry.
