Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks did a tremendous job in taking down the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night despite the injury absence of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. The two-time NBA MVP is dealing with an Achilles injury, which has now cast doubt on his status for Wednesday’s showdown against the Golden State Warriors in the Bay Area.
At this point, it appears that Antetokounmpo is heading to his second straight game on the sidelines.
Milwaukee Bucks Announce Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Status Vs. Warriors
The Bucks have already released their injury report for Wednesday’s showdown and unfortunately, Giannis has been deemed questionable to play due to tendinitis in his left Achilles.
It is worth noting that he also came into Monday’s contest against LA with a questionable tag. However, after testing the injury during warm-ups, Giannis and the Bucks eventually decided to just sit out the game. There appears to have been no significant improvements on the knock, so it is now very much possible that Antetokounmpo is forced to miss just his fourth game of the season.
In other injury news, the Bucks have also already ruled Khris Middleton out against the Warriors with the three-time All-Star still unable to recover from his sprained ankle. Golden State, on the other hand, expect to get Andrew Wiggins back in the lineup following a four-game absence due to a serious family matter.
