Having accomplished so many great things in his NBA career for the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is clearly not one guy who can get scared so easily. But that changed when his brother Thanasis made jaws drop during their recent game against the Charlotte Hornets.
In that game, the Bucks cruised to a dominant 120-84 win over the Hornets. Damian Lillard led Milwaukee by posting 26 points and eight assists. Malik Beasley connected seven of his nine attempts from downtown to score 21 points, breaking the franchise’s record for most consecutive games with five or more three-point shots.
For his part, Antetokounmpo had a double-double of his own by notching 15 points and 14 rebounds in 23 minutes on the court. Meanwhile, the Hornets’ Nick Richards and rookie Brandon Miller led the team with 16 points each.

At some point in the fourth quarter, Thanasis did something that shocked everyone in attendance. But no one was more surprised than his brother, the Bucks’ franchise player and NBA champion, Giannis.

As seen in the video posted by Bleacher Report on X above, Thanasis did JT Thor dirty by using the Shammgod on the Hornets’ forward. With a couple of clean dribbles, the All-Star forward’s brother gained a loud pop from everyone after he drained the basket.

But above everyone in attendance, no one was more shocked than Antetokunmpo himself. As seen in the screenshot above, the two-time MVP posted Thanasis’ Shammgod on Thor and included a caption of him saying, “I’m scared TA.”
This season, Thanasis is only averaging 4.5 minutes on the court. His appearance in that game against Charlotte gave him a chance to show off since the Bucks were dominant from start to end.
It isn’t everyday we see something amazing from Thanasis. But when it does come, even the likes of Giannis will find their jaws on the floor after seeing him pull that move off.
