It’s not everyday that you get to dunk on Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. It’s even a rarer occasion to posterize the former Defensive Player of the Year at the same time as teammate Bobby Portis.
Well, Los Angeles Clippers swingman Brandon Boston Jr. did just that on Sunday. The 22-year-old got so excited with his eye-popping dunk that it prompted some savage disrespect towards the Bucks talisman.
Brandon Boston Jr. Posterizes Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo AND Bobby Portis
With less than a minute remaining in the third quarter of Sunday’s matinee matchup, Boston found himself matched up one-on-one against Antetokounmpo in the wing. The Clippers youngster showed no fear as he drove to the basket to challenge Giannis’ elite defense. Not even Portis’ help could do anything about Boston’s massive hops:
Boston was so excited after the play that he could not help but scream at Giannis’ face while flexing on him. The Clippers forward/guard was immediately slapped with a technical foul for his antics.
Giannis is one of the top players in the NBA today. Could you really blame Boston for reacting like that after his jaw-dropping throwdown over Antetokounmpo? Even Giannis himself kept his head down after the play knowing that Boston really got the better of him on that particular sequence.
This is far from the first time the former back-to-back MVP has been on the wrong end of a vicious poster. It won’t be the last either. However, the one thing you can say about Giannis is that none of this will discourage him from going up there and challenging dunk attempt after dunk attempt — regardless of the potential consequences.
