Giannis Antetokounmpo logged yet another triple-double on Friday night as the Milwaukee Bucks suffered a heartbreaking 123-122 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers. The eight-time All-Star finished with a team-high 34 points on 14-of-23 shooting, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, a steal, and a block in 39 minutes of action. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t enough.
Giannis played through an Achilles injury in Friday’s loss, and he’s now dealing with a knee issue heading into Sunday’s matinee matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers. At this point, the question on the minds of fans is this: Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing today vs. the Clippers?
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Injury Status Vs. Clippers
The Bucks have submitted their injury report for Sunday’s contest, and the bad news is that Antetokounmpo has been listed again. The good news, however, is that the former back-to-back MVP is considered probable to play with tendinitis in his right knee.
It is worth noting that Giannis now appears to have gotten the Achilles injury he was previously dealing with. The tendinitis in his right knee, though, seems to be a recurrence of an issue that he was nursing prior to the Achilles knock. Needless to say — and unsurprisingly — Antetokounmpo is pretty banged up at this point in the season.
The most important thing to note here is that Giannis is heading into Sunday’s game with a probable tag. This only means that he should play, barring an unforeseen setback. So, with regard to the question of is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing today vs. the Clippers, the answer is that it’s likely.
