The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics will be the top two teams in the NBA Eastern Conference, if not the entire NBA itself, in 2023-24. Milwaukee acquired Damian Lillard in a three-team trade that sent Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trailblazers and Grayson Allen to the Phoenix Suns. Portland then turned around and shipped Holiday off to Boston for Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams III, and two first round picks.
The days following the Lillard trade to Milwaukee were comically hard on the national media. For months they have been trying to create and spin the narrative that Giannis Antetokounmpo would leave the franchise for a bigger market.

One of these personalities is former Celtics wing Evan Turner. He has a standing feud going on with Bucks fans on social media, and when Boston acquired Holiday, he took his latest shot.
Evan Turner Says the Milwaukee Bucks Shot Themselves with Their Own Gun After Jrue Holiday Trade to Boston Celtics

Needless to say, Turner was ecstatic that his former team acquired Holiday to partner with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis. He was also thrilled to have the opportunity to clown Bucks fans on social media:
Bucks fans,
Brad only did this trade cause he heard about how y’all was harassing me after the Dame come up.
Now look, bout to get shot wit your own gun

Why were Bucks fans “harassing” Turner in the wake of the Lillard trade? Because two weeks prior Turner took a shot at Giannis and the city of Milwaukee on social media:
Ain’t nobody coming to Milwaukee to work out wit you and your brother

Interestingly enough, not only did Turner play for the Celtics during his career, he also played for the Trailblazers. In fact, he played in Portland longer than he played in Boston. He obviously feels a closer connection to Boston because he was nowhere near as excited for Holiday to be a Trailblazer than he is for him to be a Celtic.
Evan Turner Wanted Jrue Holiday Traded to the Boston Celtics After the Milwaukee Bucks Traded for Damian Lillard

In fact, Turner was campaigning for Boston to find a way to get Holiday from his other former team.
Portland, buy Jrue out so he can sign to the Celtics
I’m trying to see something real quick

After his playing career was over, he worked as an assistant coach with Boston during the 2020-21 season. Now that the Celtics have Holiday, it sounds like he wants to go back:
I’m about to go back and work with Boston so I can piggy back off some of this success
Im going to stay in Cambridge again

If he does, he will have the best seats in the house for some epic battles between the Celtics and Bucks this year. There is no denying that both teams are extremely talented.
