The Milwaukee Bucks sent shockwaves throughout the NBA when they traded for seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard earlier this week. In order to acquire Lillard, the Bucks had to give up their 2029 first round NBA Draft pick, Grayson Allen, and Jrue Holiday.
Losing Holiday was easily the hardest part of the trade to swallow. However, to get a great player, sacrifices must be made.
The Bucks will find out just how big a sacrifice it was this season. Instead of keeping Holiday, the Portland Trailblazers just traded him to the Boston Celtics.

What Did the Boston Celtics Give Up for Former Milwaukee Bucks Point Guard Jrue Holiday?

According to Shams Charani, another former Bucks point guard is involved in this deal. In return, the Trailblazers are receiving former NBA Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon:

It is not yet known what the picks are. The Bucks first acquired Holiday for multiple first round picks and Eric Bledsoe before the 2020-21 NBA season.
Of course, that was the year the Bucks won the NBA Championship.
The Boston Celtics Will Be Hard to Beat

The Bucks and Celtics have had many hard-fought playoff battles in recent seasons. Adding Holiday to the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, not to mention Kristaps Porzingis, makes Boston, at least on paper, the toughest matchup for Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference.
