The Brooklyn Nets refused to go down on Monday night without a fight. In the end, the Milwaukee Bucks emerged with a 129-125 victory at the Barclays Center, but there’s no denying that they had to work extremely hard to come away with the W.
This was Milwaukee’s first road win of the season, and the Nets did not make it easy for them at all.
Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Reacts to Win
This also happened to be rookie coach Adrian Griffin’s first career road win and he has to thank Giannis Antetokounmpo and the rest of the squad for this milestone. After the game, Coach Griff heaped praise on his team for their refusal to give up against a worthy opponent:
“It’s a very good team. They’re fast, they can shoot the ball deep, they could also take you off the bounce,” Griffin said of the Nets.
“I thought we got stops when we needed. Just finding ways to win the game. That’s the most important thing we can build on. We got to continue to get better. But to walk out of this building, just the flow of the game, back and forth. There was a couple of times where they had the momentum, and we didn’t give up. We kept fighting and clawing and got back in the game. This was NBA basketball at its finest.”
I can’t disagree with Griffin’s assessment here. The Bucks and the Nets did gift the fans with a pretty memorable early-season matchup, and Milwaukee supporters are more than happy that it was their team that came out with a win.
